Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to deliver exceptional in-store experiences at the front end. You will greet customers, assist with transactions, and support cashiers to ensure efficient operation and high service standards.

Responsibilities include scheduling support, merchandising execution, and training teammates on programs while maintaining safety and store presentation. This role emphasizes inclusivity and teamwork in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Responsibilities

• Greet teammates and customers to understand needs and support their shopping experience.
• Serve as primary front-end customer service provider and liaison between customers and management.
• Provide register coverage and support cashiers with complex transactions.
• Assist with department scheduling, workflow, and associate assignments; monitor presentation standards.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards with floor sets, signage, pricing, and replenishment.
• Promote and train teammates on company programs (loyalty, warranties, credit card enrollment).
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and SOPs; maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome and respected.
• Support the team across the store with an all-hands-on-deck approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
