Job summary

CVS Health's Omnicare is hiring a Front End Pharmacy Technician at our Pittsburgh site. You will enter orders in the closed-door pharmacy, work with the pharmacist, and focus on accurate, friendly customer service.

Requires active pharmacy technician license, 1+ year experience, and optionally PTCB certification. Anticipated 40 hours weekly; competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law.
• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform order entry tasks in a closed-door pharmacy and assist in the dispensing process.
• Triaging customer service requests by department and urgency.
• Calculate and/or verify correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Assist in reviewing narcotics Rx to ensure timely processing.
• Provide pharmacists with allergy and drug interaction information flagged by the system.
• Create and maintain accurate customer records.
