Job summary

Omnicare is hiring a Front End Pharmacy Technician to support our closed-door pharmacy operations. You will perform order entry tasks and assist the pharmacist to ensure accurate dispensing and high-quality customer service in the community we serve.

The role requires a certified/licensed pharmacy technician or state-law equivalent and at least one year of experience. This position is full-time at a 24-hour facility with shifting schedules.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician

Responsibilities

• Perform order entry tasks and collaborate with other team members in the medication dispensing process at our closed-door pharmacy
• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required
• Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions
• Assist in reviewing narcotic Rx’s to ensure timely return
• Providing dispensing pharmacist with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items that the computer flags
• Creating and maintaining accurate customer records
