Job summary

Omnicare is hiring a Front End Pharmacy Technician to support our closed-door pharmacy team in a long-term care setting. You will enter orders, verify details with the pharmacist, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining accurate patient records.

The role offers a full-time schedule (40 hours/week) with a pay range of $17.00 to $28.46 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Prior LTC experience and a valid pharmacy technician certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification/licensed/registered as required by state law.
• 1+ year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Long-term care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required.
• Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Reviewing narcotics Rx’s to ensure timely processing and accuracy.
• Providing dispensing pharmacist with allergy, interaction, and duplication information.
• Creating and maintaining accurate customer records.
