Omnicare is seeking a Front End Pharmacy Technician to join our team in the Tampa area. The role involves order entry in a closed-door pharmacy, ensuring accuracy, and delivering excellent customer service to long-term care facilities and patients.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician as required by state law.
• One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform order entry tasks and collaborate with other team members in the medication dispensing process.
• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required.
• Calculate and verify correct dosage based on prescriptions.
• Review narcotic Rx's to ensure timely processing.
• Provide dispensing pharmacist with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, and other computer-flagged items.
• Create and maintain accurate customer records.
