Job summary

Omnicare, a CVS Health Company, is seeking a Front End Pharmacy Technician to join our closed-door pharmacy team. You will perform order entry, verify dosages, triage requests, and support the pharmacist to ensure accuracy and responsive customer service.

Preferred qualifications include a verified high school diploma or GED, state certification as a pharmacy technician, and experience in long-term care. The role offers a full-time schedule with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
• 1+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician
• Preferred: prior experience in long-term care industry
• PTCB National Certification

Responsibilities

• Triaging customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required
• Calculating and/or verifying correct dosage based on prescriptions
• Assist in reviewing narcotic Rx's to ensure timely return to dispensing pharmacist
• Providing dispensing pharmacist with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items flagged by the system
• Creating and maintaining accurate customer records
