Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated good judgment solving problems and making decisions.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical requirements.
• Must obtain Certified Food Safety Manager accreditation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Front End operations including Service Center, Self-Checkout and Food Lion To-Go, if applicable.
• Hire, train, and develop associates to meet department needs.
• Supervise performance of all duties and provide ongoing coaching and formal appraisals.
• Provide leadership to promote our Brand, Strategy and Culture.
• Support achievement of budgeted financials, operating results and KPIs.
• Ensure fast, friendly customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Control store expenses through proper ordering and asset management.
• Utilize company tools (ACIS, CAO, scheduling) to run the shift efficiently.
