Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Manager in Wilkesboro, NC to lead store operations, including Service Center, Self-Checkout and To-Go, ensuring a fast, friendly, and safe shopping experience. You will hire and develop associates, manage schedules, budgets and KPIs while upholding Food Lion standards and policies.

You will drive customer satisfaction, oversee safety and training, and collaborate with management to meet financial goals and store performance targets.

Qualifications

• Lead and manage a team in a retail environment.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated good judgment solving problems, decisions, complaints and disputes.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Front End operations including Service Center, Self-Checkout and Food Lion To-Go, if applicable
• Hire, train, and develop associates to meet department needs
• Supervise performance and conduct performance appraisals for direct reports
• Provide leadership to promote a culture reflecting Food Lion Brand, Strategy and Culture
• Support achievement of budgeted financials and KPIs
• Ensure safe, fast, friendly customer service and positive shopping experience
• Control store expenses through proper ordering and inventory handling
• Maintain Front End registers and equipment and service calls
• Ensure front end schedules meet standards for extraordinary service
• Monitor shrink and ensure asset protection and coaching for losses
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
• Complete CBT and Training guide; give recognition and counseling as needed
• Performs all other duties as assigned
