Talanto is seeking a Front End Software Engineer to shape the media web experience, focusing on the web media player and its APIs. You will develop high-performance UI components in React and TypeScript, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to deliver low-latency playback experiences.

The role emphasizes shipping with quality, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to developer workflows in a fully remote, global team. Backend familiarity with Go or Python is a bonus.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or a similar field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages (Go, Python, Rust, Ruby).
• Proficiency in modern web development technologies (JavaScript, React, Next.js, TypeScript) and experience turning UI/UX designs into scalable apps.
• Experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, gRPC, Thrift basics, and API design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to implement features for the media player.
• Own full development lifecycle from design to launch, including testing and experimentation.
• Build end-to-end full-stack solutions for web UI components (React/TypeScript) and backend APIs (Go/Python).
• Balance speed and quality to avoid bugs and maintainability issues.
• Review code and design docs, provide feedback on specs and mocks.
• Partner with client/platform engineers to improve performance and global delivery.
