Job summary

Food City in Alabama seeks a front-end supervisor to lead cashier teams, enforce service standards, and ensure efficient lane operations. You will monitor front-end activities, safeguard cash and safekeeping of funds, and help maintain a clean, safe, and shopper-friendly checkout area.

Responsibilities include enforcing policies, guiding associates, assisting in banking and armored car tasks, and promoting customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard physical and mental demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time policies.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain efficient and courteous service to customers while following the two-customer rule.
• Supervise and monitor overall front-end functions.
• Supervise cashiers, courtesy clerks, and fuel associates.
• Supervise the computer room operator and coordinate lane pick-ups.
• Maintain security of safe and change funds.
• Count safe during scheduled shifts.
• Enforce security policies for store safes and keep them locked.
• Secure safe combinations, keys, and numbers at all times.
• Ensure proper handling of cash, deposits, and pickups.
