Job summary

CANPACK Group in Indiana is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to operate and maintain front-end can manufacturing equipment, including coil handling machines and presses, ensuring safe and reliable production.

You will rebuild, modify, diagnose, and set up equipment using precision tools, read system reports, and work with the team to keep lines running, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Technical Degree preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of US measurement.
• Ability to use calipers and micrometers.
• Strong problem solving skills for equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot machinery when out of specification.
• Ability to organize own work and manage time.
• Basic knowledge of computers and common software.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair is a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild, repair, or overhaul front-end can manufacturing equipment as needed.
• Modify, remove, install, adjust, synchronize, or repair equipment or parts.
• Read and interpret system reports and plan repairs or setups.
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect before/during/after work.
• Set up and test equipment under power and correct mechanical issues.
• Operate, clear jams, lubricate, and feed materials to keep equipment running.
• Perform duties as assigned by management.
