Job summary

CANPACK Group in Indiana is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee washers, wastewater systems, and related equipment, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with process controls.

You will perform basic lab tests (pH, COD, metals), execute routine field repairs, document issues, and coordinate with production to minimize downtime while following safety guidelines and MSDS references.

Qualifications

• Engineering or technical degree preferred.
• Prior beverage can manufacturing experience a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain process equipment to meet production demands and monitor washer systems.
• Perform basic laboratory testing for POTW parameters (pH, COD, Fluorides, manganese).
• Repair and replace wastewater equipment and controls; troubleshoot line issues.
• Maintain logbooks, perform shift handovers, and ensure housekeeping and safety compliance.
