Job summary

CANPACK Group is seeking a maintenance technician for night shift to keep power press machinery (Cuppers, Body Makers, Trimmers, Balers, Conveyance Mats) running at peak efficiency within quality specs. You will perform preventative maintenance, grease points, align machines, and replace tooling.

Responsibilities include reading DWGs, documenting tooling usage, and troubleshooting to tight tolerances (<.0005). Must be able to operate a forklift and work with a team or independently.

Qualifications

• Mechanical/technical knowledge is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
• Intermediate knowledge of US measurement.
• Able to troubleshoot machinery when out of specification.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, gauges, micrometers).
• Familiar with torque wrenches and general tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Forklift operation ability is required.
• Team player with safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Front End machinery.
• Greasing specified grease points.
• Align the machines for proper operation.
• Replace worn or damaged tooling.
• Maintain records of tooling usage per machine.
• Rebuild or repair equipment as needed.
• Identify leaks in the system.
• Read blueprints/drawings (DWGs).
• Work within tolerances of <.0005.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment.
• Help train others to troubleshoot.
• Perform any other duties reasonably related to the role.
