Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies seeks a Front-End Manager to create an outstanding customer experience, maintain a safe, clean environment, and support sales and profit goals. The role involves supervising Front-end operations and stepping in during the absence of the Store Manager.

Responsibilities include scheduling, cost control, cash handling, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards while driving teamwork and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Management experience required and ability to supervise multiple functions.
• Strong communication skills for customer interactions and team guidance.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, pricing and POS operations.
• Retail or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering product questions.
• Maintain knowledge of department products and provide recommendations.
• Assist with budgeting, supply expense control and cash handling processes.
• Schedule Front-end associates to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
• Lead department action plans, collaborate with team, and uphold safety standards.
• Adhere to all laws, guidelines, and safety procedures; monitor store temperatures and cleanliness.
