Job summary

Forman Mills Inc is seeking a Front End Manager in Springfield, MA. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will oversee all front end operations including cash registers, service desk, layaway, cash office functions, and front end maintenance.

You will schedule staff to meet business needs while controlling payroll costs and delivering a fast, friendly checkout experience. You will monitor cashier performance, review reports daily, and escalate issues to store leadership and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: 1-2 years managing a front end team in a high-volume retail environment.
• High energy, hands-on leader with excellent people skills.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Hire and schedule front-end staff to meet business needs.
• Schedule to the needs of the business without overspending payroll.
• Ensure a fast and friendly checkout with no more than 3 people in line.
• Maintain visibility and monitor cashier performance.
• Review daily/weekly reports and escalate issues to Store Manager and Loss Prevention.
• Conduct audits and supervise staff performance and discipline as needed.
• Lead morning meetings on sales, line control, cash management and front-end issues.
• Ensure compliance with company initiatives and policies.
• Maintain proper dress code and name tag standards.
