Job summary

Forman Mills is seeking a Front End Manager to oversee cashiers, service desk, and layaway, and to ensure fast, friendly checkout and strict cash handling. You will schedule staff, monitor reports, and lead a high-energy team to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires 1–2 years of front end management experience, strong people skills, and proficiency with computer systems.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: 1-2 years managing a front end team in a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment.
• High energy, hands-on leader with excellent people skills.
• Computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead front end operations including POS registers, service desk, and layaway.
• Schedule front end staffing to meet business needs without overspending payroll.
• Maintain fast and friendly checkout with effective line control.
• Monitor cashier performance and audit daily reports.
• Counsel, discipline and develop staff in partnership with Store Manager.
• Lead morning meetings focused on sales, cash management and front end issues.
• Ensure policy adherence and proper dress code and nametags.
• Escalate repairs and maintenance issues of front end equipment to store manager/IT.
