Job summary

Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Front End Lead to drive loyalty, improve guest throughput, and ensure accurate sales capture across all lanes. You will lead the front end to run efficiently, safely, and securely, supporting the Front End Leader and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Front End or related retail leadership roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds as part of the role.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent coverage of all Self Checkout related activities and ensure all sales are captured while delivering exceptional Guest service.
• Direct traffic flow for speedy checkout and assist cashiers as needed.
• Create and manage daily schedules and control sheets for efficiency and compliance; manage break/lunch planning.
• Assist Front End Leader with auxiliary Front End lines of business (gift cards, candy, etc).
• Take ownership of the Front End when the Front-End Leader is off duty and be the point person for the Front End.
• Ensure compliance activities are completed daily and own specific topics (AML, scale/PIN pad checks, WIC).
• Order Front End supplies to meet needs while controlling costs.
• Train and coach Front End Team Members on efficiencies, service culture, and loss prevention.
• Support Front End Leader with special projects or champion assignments.
