Giant Eagle, Inc. is seeking a Front End Lead to drive loyalty, improve guest throughput, and ensure accurate sales capture across all lanes.

You will provide consistent leadership at the Front End, ensure safe and secure operations, and support the Front End Leader with ongoing initiatives to elevate team performance and certification compliance. The role emphasizes supervising front-end activities, managing schedules, training staff, and maintaining high standards of service while belonging to

Qualifications

Experience in retail or frontline supervision (1–3 years).
Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
Age 21+ and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Maintain consistent coverage of Self Checkout activities and ensure sales are captured while delivering guest service in a safe environment.
Direct traffic flow for speedy checkout and assist cashiers as needed.
Create and manage daily schedules and break plans for Front End coverage and program compliance.
Take ownership of Front End lines of business and act as point of contact when Front End Leader is not on duty.
Ensure daily compliance activities are completed and manage topics such as AML, scale/PIN pad checks, and WIC.
Order Front End supplies to meet needs while controlling costs.
Train Front End Team Members on efficiencies, service culture, and loss prevention tactics.
Support Front End Leader with special projects or champion assignments.
