Job summary

Food Lion seeks a Front End/Cashier associate to provide fast, friendly service and greet customers by name when possible. You will help maintain a neat and efficient front end, manage cash handling, and ensure accurate store procedures are followed.

The role requires effective communication, the ability to learn multiple tasks, and adherence to Food Lion guidelines and safety standards. You will participate in training and support the Customer Service Manager as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and be able to handle physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service and engage customers.
• Greet customers and use names when possible.
• Maintain neat front end area and clean presentation.
• Handle cash, deposits, and cashier-related tasks.
• Maintain knowledge of sales associate register functions.
• Follow safety, dress code, and store guidelines.
• Complete CBT and training as required.
