Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Communicate department information to associates.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to achieve store goals.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering product questions.
• Gain knowledge of products in the department to assist customers.
• Monitor and control supply expenses for the department.
• Manage cash control, sales and cash records for the store.
• Schedule Front-end associates to ensure adequate department coverage.
• Assist store management with budget, P&L reviews, and financial reporting actions.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve desired results.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Implement the department’s promotional plan and stay current with ads.
• Monitor and control department expenses.
• Maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions; flag discrepancies.
• Plan and supervise inventory processes and price changes.
• Train associates on inventory/stocking and computer assisted ordering.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Report safety risks or issues, including theft or fraud.
• Oversee and manage efficient operations of Front-end functions.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Assist management in supervising front-end associates and performance.
