Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use his or her name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Check the bottom of every cart and under baby seats for items before completing an order.
• Follow bagging procedures and scan payments per standard practice.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car (To-Go if applicable).
• Maintain alertness and call for assistance when needed to service customers per standards.
• Check prices quickly and accurately; ensure front-end area is neat and presentable.
• Report any register malfunctions and ensure MVP Kiosk paper supplies are adequate.
• Perform the task of cashier when scheduled or as needed and support front end operations.
