Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• 6 months of related experience or training or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Effective math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Good judgment and decision making.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor and team player.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant working and shopping environment.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service with sincerity, patience and respect.
• Greet customers and escort to products, assist with loading/unloading items.
• Anticipate customer needs and resolve issues to strengthen loyalty.
• Oversee front end operations to meet sales, profit, and labor goals.
• Set work priorities and maintain front end conditions.
• Ensure prompt checkout and policy compliance.
• Train and coach associates on front end procedures to reduce shrink and waste.
• Communicate pricing discrepancies to the pricing coordinator.
• Provide back-up coverage for the service operations manager in their absence.
• Know checkout transactions policies and procedures, and perform cash/tender operations.
• Operate front-end equipment per company standards.
• Assist with front-end tasks like stocking and bagging.
• Comply with food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations.
