Job summary

Goodwill Brookings is seeking a Customer Service Associate to assist donors and shoppers, operate the cash register, and support front-end operations. You will help maintain a clean, welcoming store environment and contribute to meeting sales and service goals.

The role requires strong English communication, reliability, and the ability to stand for long periods. Training on equipment and safety procedures is provided, and weekend/evening availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older; 18+ to operate safety sensitive equipment.
• Previous retail or customer service experience a plus.
• No minimum education requirements.
• Must become certified on equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist and engage customers and donors to provide outstanding service.
• Operate cash register and POS system; handle transactions and balance drawer.
• Receive, sort, and price donated goods according to guidelines.
• Restock merchandise and maintain an organized sales floor.
• Follow safety protocols and report hazards or theft.
