Job summary

Goodwill Central Coast is seeking a Store Associate to support daily store operations and assist donors and customers in a friendly, safe environment.

You will greet customers, handle transactions, stock merchandise, assist with donations, and help open/close shifts. Strong communication and basic math skills are valued; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. This role offers steady hours in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required; sales experience preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic cash registers (learn on the job).
• Basic math ability.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and customers and assist with product selections.
• Become trained in cash handling and using the store cash register system.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and stock/merchandise organization.
• Prepare donations and rotated merchandise for transfer to central processing.
• Communicate problems, complaints, and safety issues to the Store Manager.
