Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Front-End Team Member to support a smooth checkout experience for customers. You will handle transactions, assist with bagging, restock supplies, and keep the front-end area organized and clean throughout the shift.

You will rotate between tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and help ensure every visit ends positively with friendly interactions and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old (or 18+ depending on local/state requirements).
• Completion of cashier/front-end training on hire.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Handle transactions accurately at the front end.
• Restock and maintain checkout area cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with bagging, cart retrieval, and general front-end duties.
• Support customers with questions and pricing issues.
