Safeway seeks a Front-End Team Member to provide a smooth checkout experience, assist customers, and keep the front-end area organized. You will handle transactions, bag groceries, and maintain a friendly, efficient environment.

The role supports a variety of tasks across the front-end, including restocking, cart retrieval, and adherence to store policies. Prior cashier experience is helpful, and flexible scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused checkout experience and friendly assistance at the front-end
• Accurate processing of purchases with cash, card, and digital payments
• Attention to pricing, scanning, produce codes and order completion
• Basic math for cash handling, making change and balanced registers
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain a steady workflow in a busy store
• Walk/stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Adapt to shifting tasks and customer flow throughout shifts
• Follow store policies and checkout procedures with consistency
