Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Front-End Team Member to provide a smooth checkout experience for customers. You will scan items, bag groceries, answer questions, and keep the front end organized and running smoothly throughout the shift.

You will rotate between transactions, cart retrieval, restocking, and maintaining the checkout area in a fast-paced environment. Prior customer service experience is welcome, with a flexible schedule and supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ depending on local/state) to work as a cashier/front-end associate.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create a smooth checkout experience for customers.
• Scan items, bag groceries, and assist with questions.
• Keep the front end clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift.
