Job summary

SpartanNash invites you to join our Zeeland, Michigan store as a Convenience Store Associate. In this part-time role you will display and stock products, process transactions, and engage customers with friendly service.

You’ll operate the cash register, enroll guests in the loyalty program, maintain neat departments, follow safety and sanitation rules, and support other departments as needed. A high school diploma or GED and retail experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, and coupons accurately per policy.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking products in store areas.
• Front-end duties: run the cash register, enroll guests in loyalty programs, maintain a neat service area.
• Ensure correct PLU usage, report pricing or signage errors, and communicate store programs to customers.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked department and support safety and sanitation procedures.
• Support other departments as needed based on customer flow.
