Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• At least 6 months cashier experience.
• Minimum age of 18 (19 in certain states if selling tobacco).
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work weekends and irregular shifts, overtime as needed.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Attention to accuracy and detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service as part of the store team.
• Perform cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, process transactions, bag merchandise, handle money drops.
• Maintain checkstand area cleanliness and log price discrepancies.
• Answer phones and process refunds, exchanges, money orders, and gift cards.
• Provide lottery service where applicable and handle licenses.
• Run vendor reports and support store accounting functions.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments.
• Follow company policies and initiatives.
