Job summary

You will perform cashier duties, maintain the checkstand, handle refunds and exchanges, answer phones, and support store operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education.
• Six months cashier experience.
• Must be 18+ (19+ in Alaska if selling tobacco).
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Related retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions and manage register transactions.
• Complete file maintenance log for price discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area to housekeeping standards.
• Answer telephones and provide assistance as needed.
• Comply with all corporate policies and initiatives.
• Verify EAS tags are deactivated or removed at point of sale.
• Handle store accounting functions and bank deposits.
• Open/close the Customer Service Desk and process refunds, exchanges, and money orders.
• Provide lottery service (except Alaska) and licenses where allowed.
