Job summary

Kroger in Palmer, AK is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding customer experiences at the checkout. You will greet customers, process transactions quickly and accurately, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment in line with our values.

You will operate the POS, handle cash, checks, EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers, follow policies on restricted items, report pricing discrepancies, and support shelves and signage.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and securely.
• Operate the POS system and handle multiple tender types.
• Adhere to loss prevention and cash handling policies.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the store.
• Provide helpful product information to customers.
