Job summary

Fred Meyer is seeking a Customer Service Desk Associate at our Soldotna, AK location. You will assist customers, process sales, and perform cashier functions while upholding company values of respect and integrity.

You will handle refunds, exchanges, money orders, and bill pay, and support store accounting and loss prevention. The role requires a friendly demeanor, reliability, and the ability to work weekends in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months cashier experience or at Customer Service Desk
• Ability to pass drug test
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work weekends and various shifts
• Knowledge of store policies and procedures

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and process sales
• Perform cashier duties including opening/closing register and tender transactions
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area
• Answer telephones and provide courteous service
• Verify EAS tags are deactivated or removed at point of sale
• Complete store accounting functions and deposits
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders and transfers
• Provide lottery service and licenses where applicable
• Print/receive faxes and manage lost and found
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly
