Responsibilities

• Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Upholds regulations on sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
• Follows proper checkout, ATM, and credit procedures.
• Uses tare procedures for scalable items.
• Cleans and stocks Front End areas and registers.
• Follows cash handling procedures and cash variance policy.
• May assist with training new Cashier staff.
• Assist supervision in managing customer flow and wait times.
• Participates in company programs as directed by leadership.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper merchandising and stocking.
• Complies with health, safety, Weights and Measures procedures.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment and equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and pricing checks.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
