Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Front End Team Member to support the Customer Service & E-Commerce team. You will assist customers at checkout, bag groceries, and help at the customer service desk while maintaining clean, inviting displays.

Excellent communication, math skills, and a team-oriented mindset are essential. The role supports Whole Foods Market’s mission and adheres to health, safety, and SOPs.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Patience in dealing with customers and Team Members.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Checks out customer groceries efficiently and accurately.
• Upholds regulations concerning sale of alcoholic beverages and taxation.
• Follows proper cash, ATM, and credit procedures.
• Keeps Front End areas clean and stocked, including register.
• Follows cash handling procedures and cashier variance policy.
• Assists with training of new Cashier and Cashier Assistant Team Members.
• Aids supervisor in managing customer flow and reducing wait times.
• Provides excellent customer service and answers phones promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper merchandising and stocking.
• Complies with health, safety, and Weights & Measures procedures.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and reports hazards.
• Follows corporate programs and demonstrates Whole Foods core values.
