Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Store Associate to assist customers at our Parkview location. You will handle cashier duties, assist customers, and uphold our values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

The role includes opening/closing the desk, processing refunds, maintaining the checkstand area, answering phones, complying with policies, and supporting company initiatives while ensuring price accuracy and secure cash handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Six months cashier experience for Customer Service Desk.
• Must be 18 years old (19 in some states if tobacco is sold) and pass a drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage associate to deliver excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions, open/close register, complete tender transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area and handle price discrepancies.
• Answer telephones and comply with corporate policies.
• Provide refunds, exchanges, money orders, gift cards, and bill-pay services.
• Provide lottery service and licenses where applicable.
• Manage lost and found and respond to EAS tag activations.
