Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring at our South Bend, IN location for an associate responsible for displaying and stocking products, handling front-end transactions, and assisting guests with loyalty programs. You will contribute to guest experience and safety standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires good communication, basic math, and the ability to lift and move items as needed. Prior retail work is preferred; high school diploma or GED is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, and coupons accurately.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking products in required areas of the store.
• Front-end duties such as running the cash register and enrolling guests in loyalty programs.
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked department and follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines and assist with department flight plans as needed.
