Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Front-End Team Member for Safeway stores in Hawaii. You’ll help deliver a smooth checkout experience, handle transactions, interact with customers, and keep the front end organized and welcoming.

You’ll rotate between tasks like scanning items, bagging groceries, restocking, and assisting customers. Flexible schedule, friendly service, and ability to stand for long periods are required; prior cashier experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older (or 18+ depending on local/state rules).
• Completion of cashier or front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and communication skills required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at checkout, scan items, and process payments.
• Bag groceries, collect carts, restock as needed, and keep the checkout area organized.
• Maintain accurate pricing, produce codes, and order completion.
• Follow front-end procedures and adapt to changing customer flow.
