Job summary

Kroger is seeking friendly store associates to deliver outstanding customer service at the Woods Cross, UT location. You will greet customers, assist with purchases, and operate the checkout with accuracy and efficiency.

You will work with POS systems, handle various payment methods, follow loss prevention guidelines, and stay updated with ads and promotions while maintaining safety and a welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly and accurately at the check lane.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, cards, EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers.
• Follow loss prevention guidelines and adhere to policies on cash shortages/overages.
• Adhere to guidelines for age-restricted items like alcohol and tobacco.
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow store procedures for stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; maintain food safety practices.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer questions about products in-store.
