Job summary

Heinen’s Grocery Store is seeking a Retail Professional to support our premium supermarket experience in Northeast Ohio. You’ll uphold the Heinen’s Diamond Difference standards while assisting customers, operating registers, and maintaining store conditions.

Join a family-owned leader with retail growth potential. Typical shifts are part-time, including weekends, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and friendly service to every guest.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sense of urgency with ability to work independently to meet daily tasks.
• Comply with all company policies and standards.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Production-driven with ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing.
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work non-traditional five-day schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate scanners, scales, cash registers and other electronics.
• Accept payments, ensuring prices and quantities are accurate.
• Follow store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, or purchase of items like alcohol.
• Follow company standards for proper packing.
• Acquire and share knowledge of the store.
• Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
• Attend required corporate meetings and training classes.
• Comply with all personal and food safety company standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
