Job summary

Shaner Hotel Group in State College invites applications for a Front Desk Supervisor at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott. This role oversees daily front desk operations, ensures exceptional guest service, and maintains standards across the front desk team.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in a similar role, is able to communicate clearly with guests and staff, and can work a flexible schedule. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; knowledge of local attractions helps tailor guest

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a similar position. Prior supervisory experience a plus.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all Front Desk functions in accordance with hotel standards.
• Direct, implement and maintain a strong service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, room availability, and expected arrivals/departures.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas.
• Present guest folios and process payments. Adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
