Job summary

Shaner Hotels at State College TownePlace Suites by Marriott is seeking a housekeeping professional to maintain high cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction in an extended‑stay environment.

You will perform daily cleaning, handle guest requests, and follow safety procedures while supporting a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year cleaning experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, management, and co‑workers.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Maintain standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
• Observe all house and safety rules, housekeeping procedures, and security procedures.
• Clean and service assigned public spaces according to franchise and hotel standards.
• Return and restock cart at end of shift.
• Complete additional deep cleaning/seasonal cleaning functions as scheduled.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Clean hotel public areas assigned, ensuring the hotel’s established standards of cleanliness.
• Report any maintenance deficiencies and handle guest requests or complaints.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
