Job summary

Hyatt House LA – University Medical Center, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking a Front Desk Operations Supervisor to lead the front desk team and deliver exceptional guest service at our on-site property in Los Angeles. Primary responsibilities include overseeing check-in/out, staff scheduling, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication, and a customer-focused mindset in a fast-paced hospitality

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of hotel front office experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with scheduling, reporting, and operational administration preferred.
• Excellent guest service, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Check guests in, ensure proper credit is received, note special requests, and establish accurate information.
• Provide leadership and direction for all front office operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned and make operational decisions as necessary.
• Oversee daily front desk activities and ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, payroll review, and staffing coverage.
• Train, coach, motivate, counsel, and discipline front office team members.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and manage escalated guest concerns and service recovery situations.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales, and other departments to support hotel operations.
