You are likely to be the first point of contact for our guests, so put a smile on your face and know your facts. Our guests will come in with a lot of questions, ranging from room amenities to the Milwaukee hot spots. It is essential that you have the ability and insight to assist them. You will help the front desk team to sell the most rooms possible and make sure guests are having a great time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervise front desk staff, reservations, and bell staff as needed.
  • Ensure all daily functions from checklists are completed.
  • Greet guests and check them in and out.
  • Answer phones and perform manual and computer posting of transactions.
  • Handle money, credit cards, and checks.
  • Issue mail and messages to guests.
  • Address guest complaints and dissatisfaction.
  • Take reservations.
  • Provide directions and answer guest questions.
  • Enter wake-up calls and deliver items to rooms.
  • Assist in training all new hires.
  • Load paper/toner into machines.
  • Perform additional duties or projects as assigned by the Front Office Manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 2 years of previous front desk experience required.
  • Hospitality/Hotel experience strongly preferred.
  • Good communication and math skills.
  • Accurate typing skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong compute aptitude.
  • Supervisory and organizational skills.
  • Ability to walk/stand for long periods.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines for assignments and projects.
