Job summary

Bridgeway Center, Inc. seeks an Access Specialist to be the first friendly face for clients in Fort Walton Beach. You will manage reception, data entry into the EHR, scheduling, and payments with a professional, patient-focused approach.

The role requires strong customer service, confidentiality, and multitasking abilities in a busy healthcare environment. Training and growth opportunities are provided within BCI.

Qualifications

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA and policy.
• Display cultural sensitivity and strong interpersonal skills.
• Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced setting with accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and staff.
• Basic math and cash handling for payments and receipts.
• Familiarity with EHR and scheduling software, or quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet patients and visitors in a welcoming manner.
• Obtain and update patient information; enter into the EHR promptly.
• Verify insurance, obtain authorizations or referrals as required.
• Schedule, verify, and reschedule routine appointments and balances.
• Collect payments and reconcile cash drawer daily.
• Maintain front office organization and coordinate with clinical staff.
