Job summary

US Pharmacopeia is seeking a Front Desk & Security Operations Coordinator to serve as the primary contact for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, while coordinating building security to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

The role combines front desk reception with security coordination, monitoring access and incidents, and working closely with Facilities and external security providers to protect people and assets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in security or facility operations.
• Minimum 5 years of security, front desk, access control, or customer service experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience monitoring security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarms, and visitor management platforms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility.
• Verify identification and issue visitor badges.
• Conduct scheduled interior and exterior security patrols.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and other security systems.
• Respond to security incidents, safety concerns, and emergencies.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency response personnel when required.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Supervise contracted security guards including Frederick site.
• Provide professional assistance and excellent customer service to employees and visitors.
