Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Welcome Center in Radnor, PA to greet visitors, manage access control, and safeguard clients across multiple industries. You will work at a busy front desk, monitor alarms and cameras, and coordinate with staff to maintain a welcoming, secure environment.

Responsibilities include handling visitor sign-in, issuing temporary badges, answering calls, and documenting incidents and daily activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws.
• A background investigation and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist students, staff, visitors, and vendors at the front desk following Allied Universal post orders and site-specific policies.
• Monitor access control, verify identifications, manage visitor sign-in procedures, issue temporary badges, and direct guests to destinations.
• Answer phones and/or radios, relay messages, and coordinate service requests with site contacts while maintaining a professional front desk presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, initiate emergency response activities, and notify site leadership or first responders as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and pass-down notes, and communicate key information to oncoming personnel.
