Job summary

Allied Universal® in Weehawken, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Reception Access Control to greet visitors, manage access, and provide exceptional customer service at a premier commercial real estate location.

As a Front Desk professional, you will monitor lobby activity, operate access systems, support badge procedures, and coordinate with tenants and staff while upholding safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and vendors at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Greet and screen visitors, verify appointments and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain logs.
• Monitor lobby activity, access control systems, cameras, alarms, and communication equipment; report unusual activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly, coordinating with building management and responders as needed.
• Assist with front desk administrative duties, including answering phones, directing guests, receiving deliveries, and providing information about access and amenities.
