Job summary

Genesis in Lewiston, ME is seeking a friendly receptionist to warmly welcome patients and visitors and serve as the first point of contact at the nursing center.

You will answer calls, direct inquiries, manage mail, keep patient and staff records current, and perform basic clerical duties to support daily operations. A high school diploma and strong communication skills, with proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safety and well-being of patients and visitors.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Proficient with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls professionally and courteously and redirect them appropriately.
• Warmly welcome, greet and direct patients, visitors, and guests.
• Coordinate outgoing and incoming mail.
• Maintain current lists of patients/residents by name/room number and employees by names/phone extension.
• Order supplies and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
