Job Description Summary:

Under supervision of a licensed provider, the Front Desk Receptionist handles blood-related clinical duties on the ASC side along with clerical tasks. We value motivated individuals with excellent communication skills who can problem-solve and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Gain knowledge of organizational policies and procedures to support the department.

Position Details:

This full-time role reports to the Front Desk Operations Manager, primarily based at Summit Spine & Joint Centers, covering region 16 clinics, with potential location changes based on needs. The schedule for Region 14 includes Newnan (ASC): Tuesdays - Thursdays, and alternating Mondays & Fridays, 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities:
  1. Communicate directly with patients regarding their needs.
  2. Greet patients: check-in, collect copay, verify insurance, prepare charts.
  3. Check out patients: schedule appointments, refer, verify prescriptions.
  4. Assist patients to vehicles when necessary.
  5. Process messages between patients, administration, and other medical offices.
  6. Report to office manager or practice administrator.
Skills and Abilities:
  1. Willingness to travel to other locations.
  2. Assist in Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
  3. Lift up to 45 pounds.
  4. Comfortable seeing and handling blood.
  5. Detail-oriented.
  6. Willing to cross-train on all clinical responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
  1. 1-year clinical experience preferred.
  2. Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar EHR systems preferred.
  3. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
