Job Description Summary:

Under the supervision of a licensed provider, the Front Desk Receptionist will handle blood-related clinical duties at the ASC (ambulatory surgery center) and perform clerical tasks. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, be able to problem-solve, multitask, and learn organizational policies. This is a part-time position reporting to the Front Desk Operations Manager, primarily located at Region 15 clinics, with potential for location changes based on needs.

Region 15 Operating Schedule:

Augusta (ASC): Monday 8am-5pm & half day Thursday-Friday.

Responsibilities:
  1. Communicate directly with patients and address their needs.
  2. Greet patients: check-in, collect copay, verify insurance, prepare charts.
  3. Check out patients: scheduling, referrals, prescription verification.
  4. Assist patients to vehicles when necessary.
  5. Process messages between patients and staff.
  6. Report to office manager or practice administrator.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Willingness to travel to other locations.
  • Assist in Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
  • Ability to lift 45 pounds.
  • Comfort with blood-related procedures.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Willing to cross-train on clinical responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
  • 1-year clinical experience preferred.
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar EHR systems preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
